For faster development of tribal areas and tribal communities and to improve their health standards, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today ordered the supply of mineral water to each household in tribal areas, besides meeting nutritional requirements of tribal communities.
The Chief Minister said that a special drive would be taken up to provide potable water, nutritious food, health and education facilities, and improved road connectivity in tribal areas.
Naidu also called for robust broadband connectivity in rural areas for which he asked officials to make use of funds from Rs. 50 crores to Rs. 100 crores.
He said that awareness should be spread among the tribal people on the usage of cellphones, and that a plan should be made to increase the connect tribes with the outside world.
The AP CM called for immediate filling of vacant posts in all health centers in tribal-dominated districts, and asked officials to conduct walk-in interviews for the same.
The CM said that special incentives would be provided to doctors and super specialists who work in the tribal areas.
