The Telugu film actor said that he would not accompany Chiranjeevi to meet the AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy on the issue of the movie ticket rates in the state.
Telugu film actor Akkineni Nagarjuna today said that he would not accompany Chiranjeevi to meet the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the controversial issue of the movie ticket rates in the state.
He said that he had already told Chiranjeevi that he would not be able to accompany him to the meeting.
He also said that he did not have any problem with the ticket rates fixed by the AP government, and that his calculations showed them as fair.
Nagarjuna added that he was busy with the promotion of his upcoming movie Bangarraju, and that he was working to release the movie on its scheduled date.
The comments of Nagarjuna assumed importance in the entire Telugu film industry ahead of the meeting of Chiranjeevi with the AP CM. The ticket prices issue is getting bigger and more critical with some big-budget movies like RRR slated for release, and the bigwigs of the film industry have also held a series of meetings with the AP government on the issue. And maverick movie director Ram Gopal Varma had entered into a Twitter war with AP minister Perni Nani on the same issue a couple of days back.
