GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has directed the Engineer-in-Chief to complete the Chandrayangutta flyover project by the end of November 2014.
The Commissioner said that people had been facing a lot of inconvenience due to the traffic congestions near the Chandrayangutta flyover. Therefore, he directed the engineering officials to complete work on the flyover at the earliest.
The Commissioner, along with senior officials of the Engineering and Town Planning departments, and the South Zone Commissioner, visited Chandrayangutta, Kandikal Gate and Narqi Pul Bagh at the Old City on Saturday.
He inspected the ongoing works and directed officials to expedite them so as to be able to get the flyover inaugurated in the first week of December 2014.
He further stated that certain local issues were to be cleared after the completion of the flyover works, and that the Uppuguda flyover works will be taken up on priority.
Later, the Commissioner inspected the newly constructed community hall at Narqi Pul Bagh. He also announced that one urban health centre would be opened very soon for the convenience of the citizens.
Local corporator Dhan Singh, and other senior officials of the Engineering and Town Planning departments and the HMWS&SB, participated in the visit. (INN)
