Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday paid rich tributes to TDP founder and former chief minister late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on his death anniversary.
Accompanied by his wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani, Naidu visited the NTR Ghat near Hussainsagar and paid floral tributes.
Speaking to media persons later, Naidu reiterated his demand for the Bharat Ratna for NTR posthumously.
He said that he would continue his efforts to get the highest civilian award for the TDP founder who had rendered a lot of services for the poor and the downtrodden.
TDP leaders from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Telangana TDP President L Ramana, were present on the occasion.
Later, Naidu also paid floral tributes to NTR at his statue at Rasoolpura. (INN)
