Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao on Sunday accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of adopting double standards on the Telangana issue.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, Harish Rao asked Naidu to clarify his intentions of organising a hunger strike in New Delhi. He alleged that Naidu is trying to stall the process of formation of Telangana by holding a protest in the national capital.
He said that Naidu should speak out clearly on whether he supports Telangana or a united Andhra Pradesh. He said that while Naidu was making pro-Telangana statements in Hyderabad, he was demanding justice for Seemandhra while touring the region. He demanded that Naidu adopt a single and firm stand on the issue.
Harish Rao said that Naidu's stand has left people in confusion. "The TDP chief should clarify the real purpose of his deeksha in New Delhi," he said.
The TRS MLA also condemned YSR Congress Party president Jaganmohan Reddy's indefinite hunger strike for Samaikyandhra. He said that efforts to delay or stop the process of Telangana formation would not be tolerated. (INN)
