Government whip in the Legislative Council Rudraraju Padmaraju on Sunday ridiculed the promises being made by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu during his "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra.
Talking to reporters at the Assembly's media point, Padmaraju alleged that Naidu "appears to have lost his mental balance".
Stating that the TDP chief should be referred to a mental hospital, he also remarked that Naidu was showing signs of memory loss. Referring to a recent statement made during the padayatra, when Naidu had promised to waive off the interest on loans given to DWCRA Self Help Groups, Rudraraju said that the Congress was already providing interest-free loans to DWCRA SHGs and that therefore the question of waiving off interest on their loans does not arise.
Padmaraju said that being the leader of the Opposition, Naidu ought be aware of the schemes being implemented by the ruling party. (INN)
