Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Spokesperson Rudraraju Padmaraju, on Tuesday, accused TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of luring Congress leaders into the TDP with promises of huge packages.
Speaking to media personnel at Indira Bhavan, Rudraraju said that, by making Congress leaders join the TDP, Chandrababu Naidu was trying to give false impressions that there strong currents of anti-Congress sentiment in the Seemandhra region.
He alleged that the leaders who had joined the TDP in the recent past did so because they had been offered huge packages.
Describing the TDP as a divided house, Rudraraju advised Naidu to concentrate on his own party rather than trying to poach Congress leaders.
Rudraraju claimed that the Congress party was strong in the Seemandhra region, and that it will come to power in Seemandhra after the ensuing elections. (INN)
