Chandrababu Naidu Leads Protest For Farmers
The TDP staged a protest at a fire service station located beside the Secretariat demanding that the AP government provide remunerative prices to the farmers.
The main Opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), on Tuesday staged a protest at a fire service station located beside the Secretariat, demanding that the State government provide remunerative prices to the farmers.
TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu led the protest.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that the farmers of the State were not getting adequate prices for their produce. He claimed that there was nobody to buy their produce at reasonable prices in the State, and that groundnut, palm oil, turmeric and dal farmers especially were facing many problems.
He demanded that the State government not only provide remunerative prices to the farmers, but also solve all of their farming-related problems.
