Unseasonal Rains: Naidu Wants Ex-Gratia For Victims

The TDP's Chandrababu Naidu asked the State government to pay Rs. 5 lakhs to each of the families of those killed in the unseasonal rains of the last 3 days.

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday demanded that the State government pay an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakhs to each of the families of those killed in the unseasonal rains of the last 3 days.

In a letter to Governor E S L Narasimhan, Naidu said that the unseasonal rains and hailstorms had caused immense damage to agricultural and horticultural crops across the State.

He requested the Governor to direct officials to prepare a detailed assessment of the damages and the extent of relief to be provided to the victims.

He also demanded that a Central team should visit the affected areas. (INN)
