Congress MP from Karimnagar Ponnam Prabhakar on Thursday slammed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for taking a stand against Telangana formation.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Ponnam said that Naidu's claims that he was not against the formation of Telangana, has finally been exposed after he boycotted the meeting with the Group of Ministers (GoM).
He said that it was Naidu who had asked the Centre to convene an all-party meeting, but that when the meeting was called, Naidu was the only one who abstained from it.
Ponnam also condemned Naidu's reported remarks against AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
He said that Naidu should look at the inefficiency of his son Lokesh, who he is trying to impose upon the Telugu Desam Party.
Ponnam remarked that the TDP chief was in a state of "depression" and has lost control over his words.
The Karimnagar MP said that Telangana is almost a reality, and that reports being sent by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy or PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana would not be able to prevent its formation. (INN)
