The Union Urban Development Minister also said the rules for farm loan waiver for other States would be applicable to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, too.
Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday advised the Chief Ministers of AP and Telangana, Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhara Rao respectively, to sit together to resolve the disputes between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Speaking to media persons, Venkaiah Naidu said that the two States were bound to have disputes over several issues. However, the same could be resolved through discussions.
He said that the Centre would not differentiate or show favouritism towards any State including Andhra Pradesh.
He also made it clear that the rules for waiver of farm loans for other States would be applicable to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, too, and they would not get any special treatment from the Centre.
When asked for his reaction to the controversy over Sania Mirza's appointment as the Brand Ambassador of Telangana, Venkaiah Naidu refused to comment. (INN)
