Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali today expressed his satisfaction at the Centre's release of Rs. 100 crores towards the development of seven minority residential schools in the State.
Mahmood Ali thanked Union Minorities Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi for taking up the issue with the Centre.
The funding comes as a response to the Telangana government's plea to release Rs. 1,200 crores of financial assistance for 120 minority schools in the State recently, which amounted to Rs. 10 crores per school.
With the Centre's sanction, each minorities' school will now receive slightly over ten crores.
