CBI Brings Back Fugitive Anil Kumar Reddy From UAE

Yeddula was wanted by the Andhra Pradesh police in multiple cases involving cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal intimidation.
Hyderabad | 26th February 2026
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has coordinated the return of Red Notice subject Anil Kumar Reddy Yeddula from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through INTERPOL channels.

Yeddula, who was wanted by the Andhra Pradesh police in multiple cases involving cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal intimidation, was today brought back to India.

He arrived from Dubai at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport under security escort and was subsequently handed over to the State police authorities.

The operation was carried out in close coordination with UAE authorities and India's Ministry of External Affairs, following due legal procedures.

The Red Notice - an international request to locate and provisionally arrest a wanted person - was issued against Yeddula in September 2022 at the request of the Andhra Pradesh police.

The officials said that over 130 fugitives had been brought back to India in recent years through INTERPOL coordination.
