The Jubilee Hills police today registered a case against the sons of famous former producer-director late Dasari Narayana Rao for allegedly threatening their creditors.
According to the details revealed by the police, Atluri Somasekhar Rao, a resident of Guntur district, currently staying in Hyderabad's Yella Reddy Guda area, approached them claiming that he had been quite close to the legendary producer who had taken a loan of Rs 2.10 crore from him in 2012.
However, the police added, Narayana Rao's sons, Dasari Prabhu and Dasari Arun, who had initially agreed to pay back Rs 1.15 crore to Somasekhar Rao instead of the actual sum of Rs 2.10 crore in the presence of their father, did not return the money as promised.
"On July 27, the complainant went to Narayana Rao's house, located on road number 46 of Jubilee Hills, and demanded that the sons return his money. But the two accused reacted badly. They threatened him and even told him that they would kill him if he visited their house again. Left with no option, he has now lodged a complaint with us," police officials stated.
A case has been lodged against the two brothers under various sections of the IPC.
