By Contesting From Two Constituencies, KCR Admitting Defeat: Congress
TPCC president Revanth Reddy today said that the Telangana CM had accepted defeat by announcing that he was going to contest from two Assembly constituencies.
TPCC president Revanth Reddy today said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not accept the challenge of the Congress but accepted defeat by announcing that he was going to contest from two Assembly constituencies in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking with the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Reddy said that the fear of defeat was clearly visible in the voice of the Chief Minister while he was speaking.
He also said that he had been saying from the very beginning that KCR would run to Kamareddy, and predicted that KCR would lose in both Gajwel and Kamareddy. He claimed that senior congress leader Shabbir Ali had rendered immense service to the people of Telangana by representing Kamareddy, and would defeat KCR resoundingly. He also asked why KCR was going to Kamareddy instead of to his home district Siddipet, and said that the Telangana society should understand the priorities of KCR at least now.
Reddy also said that a look at the BRS' candidates list showed that the Congress would win the next elections and would come to power with a two-thirds majority. He promised to implement a loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh for farmers after coming into power, fill up two lakh government jobs within one year of coming to power, and provide gas cylinders at Rs 500 to the people.
