Hyderabad | 15th April 2023
Buoyed by the numbers at its two public meetings at Nanded and Kandar Loha in Maharashtra, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has decided to conduct another public meeting, at Aurangabad on April 24.
The meeting will be led by BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao, and the party expects over one lakh people to attend it.
BRS leaders led by Telangana MLA Jeevan Reddy held a preparatory meeting in the Kannad Assembly constituency, the headquarters of Aurangabad district, in Maharashtra today, where the local leaders were asked to mobilise a large number of people for the meeting to make it a grand success.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that the people of Maharashtra were strongly seeking the Telangana model of development in their State, and were voluntarily coming forward to extend their support to the BRS.
He also said that after the BRS had held its public meeting at Nanded the Maharashtra government had announced a package of Rs 6,900 crore for its farmers, but that even that amount was too meagre to rescue the farmers from their crisis, and that the BRS government in Telangana had so far credited over Rs 80,000 crore into the accounts of 62 lakh farmers as crop investment assistance.
