BRS To Celebrate Sep 17 As National Integration Day: KTR
BRS working president and Telangana minister K T Rama Rao today announced that his party would celebrate September 17 as National Integration Day on a grand scale.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Telangana minister K T Rama Rao today announced that the ruling party would celebrate September 17 as National Integration Day on a grand scale, marking the merger of the Telangana region with India.
Rao called upon the party's activists and leaders to take part in the celebrations in large numbers and make the program a grand success in their respective areas.
He also said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself would participate in the celebrations to be held in Hyderabad, while the various ministers would take part in the districts on that day.
K T Rama Rao said that Telangana had achieved significant progress in various sectors during the last ten years, and had set an example for the country through its development and welfare programs.
The BRS working president also lambasted the opposition parties for "indulging in a conspiracy" against the State government in the name of September 17, and for "politicising" the National Integration Day for their selfish gains.
He urged the people to be wary of the "conspiracies of destructive forces" that "added religion to every aspect and spread venom in the society".
