BRS Slams CM Revanth Reddy's Speech At WEF Summit At Davos

BRS leader Dr Sravan Dasoju today said that after observing the various tweets, the social media and the media coverage, he felt compelled to express his concern regarding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's representation at the World Economic Forum Davos Summit of 2024.

"The CM has made himself a laughing stock, and brought dishonour, disrepute and disgrace to Telangana with his incoherent, inconsistent and incompetent responses on a global platform. His unintelligible comments on disconnected topics like nuclear reactions and ring roads, his political comments and so on won't bring any appreciation either to him personally or to the State of Telangana. He must leash his loose cannon attitude and political rhetoric at least on international forums," Sravan said.

"A State head attending the Davos Summit to attract investments should demonstrate competency in economic policies, a clear vision for development, and commitment to regulatory transparency and creating a conducive business environment. Effective communication, showcasing of growth opportunities and fostering partnerships are also crucial for attracting investments on the global stage. But the hollow comments of Revanth Reddy do not reflect any of these, and clearly show lack of administrative vision and plenty of immaturity," he added.

"Experts who escorted the CM like Jayesh Ranjan and E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy should attempt to tutor him on what, when and how to talk, and also on what and when not to talk in an international forum. After all he is the Chief Minister, and it is the question of investments for the progress of the State," Sridhar said.

"And what is the role of the IT & Industries minister Sridhar Babu, who is a graduate from Delhi University and a post-graduate from the Hyderabad Central University, and who worked as a cabinet minister in the previous governments? Why is he being overshadowed? By sidelining Sridhar Babu, who is a relatively more experienced and competent man, Revanth Reddy, just because he is the Chief Minister, seems to be taking the lead role in an area where he has little competence. He will only destroy the fortunes of Telangana and cause disrepute to the State unless he prepares himself," Sravan added.
