Addressing over 150 participants from the Japanese business community in Tokyo, Revanth Reddy asked them to consider Telangana as a prime investment destination.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today urged Corporate Japan at the India-Japan Economic Partnership Roadshow to invest in the State.
"Come to Telangana, find a China+1 alternative. Invest, thrive, grow, succeed. Hyderabad will feel like home," he said.
The official Telangana Rising delegation hosted a high-level investment roadshow at Tokyo Hotel Imperial, presented the State's "thriving" industrial ecosystem, and invited Japanese businesses to invest.
The event commenced with remarks from Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan, who spoke about the robust and growing economic ties between India and Japan.
Addressing over 150 participants from the Japanese business community after that, the CM encouraged them to consider Telangana as a prime investment destination.
"Konnichiwa, Tokyo. Namaskaram. I bring warm greetings from my people in Telangana, India's youngest and fastest-developing State. Japan is known as the Land of the Rising Sun, and our state's vision is Telangana Rising. Today, I am proud to say that Telangana is rising in the Land of the Rising Sun. I am very happy to be in Tokyo. Your city is remarkable, with excellent infrastructure, a strong focus on the environment and sustainability, and a culture of innovation. The people of Japan are kind, respectful and disciplined. I have learnt many things here that will help me develop my own city of Hyderabad," he said.
Promotional videos highlighting two of the Telangana government's flagship projects - Future City, planned as a net zero industrial city, and the Musi riverfront rejuvenation project, one of the country's largest riverfront developments - were then showcased at the event.
Telangana's Special Chief Secretary (Industries and Commerce) Jayesh Ranjan then made a presentation outlining the key investment opportunities for Japanese companies in sectors including electronics, artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, textiles and green energy.
In his keynote address, he said, "We offer world-class infrastructure, skilled talent, and clear and consistent policies to support your investments in priority sectors including life sciences, GCCs, electronics, EV and energy storage, textiles, food processing, AI data centres and logistics. Let us build something extraordinary for India, Japan and the world."
Toshihiro Mizutani, Director General of JETRO, Bengaluru, also spoke, encouraging deeper collaboration with Telangana.
The event concluded with several one-on-one meetings between the Telangana delegation and top Japanese business conglomerates.
