Speaking at the inauguration of the HCL Tech KRC Campus in Hyderabad, the CM said that the State was now one of India's fastest-growing regions.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today declared that the momentum of "Telangana Rising" was unstoppable, as the State continued to make significant strides in multiple sectors.
Speaking at the inauguration of the HCL Tech KRC Campus in Hyderabad, the CM outlined the achievements and future ambitions of the State, positioning it as one of India's fastest-growing regions.
Reddy said that the Telangana government had been actively signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various multinational corporations, ushering in new projects and investments that were helping to propel the State forward.
He claimed that these efforts had resulted in Telangana securing the highest level of investments - both domestic and international - within the past year.
This achievement, along with the State's top rank in job creation, had solidified Telangana's place as a leader in the nation's economic growth, the CM claimed.
Addressing the skepticism that accompanied his ambition to transform Telangana into a one-trillion-dollar GDP State, the Chief Minister spoke of his "success in securing agreements worth Rs 41,000 crore and Rs 1.78 lakh crore during two trips to Davos". He said that these deals had bolstered the State's reputation globally.
Reddy also said that while some had initially doubted his claims that Hyderabad's competition was with global cities and not with cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru or Chennai, now they knew that it was becoming a reality.
"Currently, we are positioning the State as a hub for data centres, renewable energy, life sciences, biotechnology, skill development, manufacturing and agricultural processing. We are also establishing Hyderabad as the leading city in electric vehicle adoption," he claimed.
The Chief Minister took pride in Hyderabad's "emerging status as a global hub for innovation". "People are now proclaiming that the momentum of Hyderabad Rising cannot be halted, and this sentiment is gaining recognition on a global scale," he added.
Describing the success of HCL Tech, Reddy praised the company for its contribution to India's technological landscape. Operating in 60 countries with over 220,000 employees, HCL was at the forefront of digital services, engineering, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, he said. He added that HCL had expanded steadily since its establishment in Hyderabad in 2007, and that its new state-of-the-art 3.2 lakh square foot facility would create 5,000 jobs in the city.
