Telugu film comedian Brahmanandam on Friday announced that he would donate Rs 3 lakh to help all the film industry workers who had turned jobless due to the ongoing lockdown in the state.
He said that he would donate the amount to the coronavirus crisis charity set up by co-actor Chiranjeevi.
The charity has turned popular among the Telugu film actors, and many have already contributed to it in cash and kind.
Chiranjeevi himself tweeted that the charity had already begun the work of distributing essentials at the doorsteps of the poor workers.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi, who is enthralling all his fans on Twitter these days, came up with yet another short video related to the various shades of the ongoing lockdown.
This time he saluted the entire police force of the two Telugu states for relentlessly working to enforce the lockdown.
Saying that he was saluting the police as the son of a policeman, he appealed to the public to cooperate with them and strengthen their efforts in banishing the dreaded coronavirus.
