Congress MLA Jogi Ramesh on Saturday accused PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana of trying to create a constitutional crisis in the state to dethrone Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Talking to reporters here, Ramesh said that the expulsion of nine MLAs from the party has brought the Congress government into a minority, and it would fail to prove its strength on the floor of the House if asked by the Governor. Alleging that Botsa has triggered a new political storm within the Congress party, he said that Botsa himself was trying to capture the top posts by destabilising Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Ramesh also condemned the way nine Congress MLAs were expelled from the party. He said taht the MLAs were neither served a "show cause" notice nor given an opportunity to express their stand. He also claimed that Botsa did not even name the MLAs who were expelled. Claiming that he was still speaking as a Congress MLA, he evaded a direct reply on whether he has plans of joining the YSR Congress party. (INN)
