Condemning in strong terms the attendance of PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana at the Jai Andhra programme conducted by MP Undavalli Arun Kumar at Rajahmundhry, Telangana Congress leaders made it very uncomfortable for Botsa to participate in the Republic Day celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan today.
MLA Indrasena Reddy constantly interrupted Botsa as the latter was addressing the gathering there, and vociferously demanded to know how the Pradesh Congress Comittee chief could do something so partisan as to attend a meeting that was clearly being conducted "in order to insult and demean the sentiments of the Telangana people". Even while attempts were being made to calm Indrasena down, cries went up with demands of "Go Back, Andhra Congress!".
The MLA demanded that that Botsa resign from his post immediately, as he had shown that he "was not the PCC chief, but only a Seemandhra minister".
Several other Telangana Congress leaders expressed their displeasure at Botsa attending a meeting where "the sentiments of the Telangana people were being slandered".
