Congress MLCs K R Amos and Yadav Reddy on Friday questioned the intentions of Seemandhra leaders in holding a meeting to discuss the means to keep Andhra Pradesh united.

Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office, the MLCs demanded to know why leaders from the Telangana region were not invited, if the meeting had been aimed at keeping Andhra Pradesh united. They alleged that the meeting was meant to sabotage the formation of Telangana state.

Amos said that Telangana leaders had never objected to the activities of Seemandhra leaders in Hyderabad. However, he warned the Seemandhra leaders of retaliation if they hatch conspiracies to damage the Telangana cause by holding such meetings in Hyderabad. (INN)
