A total of 27 residents of Hyderabad had gone for an excursion to the Araku Valley in a bus. However, their bus, carrying over 30 passengers, met with an accident in the valley at about 7:30 pm on Friday. It fell into a gorge in the Anantagiri area, near Araku, in Visakhapatnam.
The bus reportedly fell about 200 feet into the valley. Fortunately, the large trees in the gorge stopped it from falling any further.
The police are currently looking into the matter. They suspect that the reasons for the accident could be the failure of the vehicle's brakes, or the driver's fatigue.
