Dismissing the police's claims of having solved the murder of Nalgonda Municipal chairperson Boddupalli Lakshmi's husband Boddupalli Srinivas, Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today reiterated that the murder was politically motivated, alleging that Srinivas was murdered as he had refused to join the TRS.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Komatireddy slammed KCR for allowing his confidantes to say things like the government would not provide call data, instead of the Home Minister or the state DGP making such statements. He also alleged that the CM was indulging in murder politics.
The Congress has approached the High Court for a CBI inquiry into the case.
Meanwhile, sharing details of his party's election plans in light of the recent events, Komatireddy said that he had asked Telangana Congress in-charge R C Kuntia to announce 50% of the electoral candidates before March. He said that he had also suggested to Kuntia to concentrate on Hyderabad, and undertake "padayatras" in the state to make people of the state aware of the TRS' treachery.
He further said that he was ready to tour the entire state if given such responsibilities by his party. If not, he would still strive to make it win all the seats in Nalgonda district, he asserted.
