BJP Urges KCR To Pay Employees On First Of Every Month
Bandi Sanjay wrote an open letter to CM K Chandrashekar Rao urging him to pay the salaries of government employees and pensioners on the first of every month.
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao urging him to pay the salaries of government and contract employees and pensioners on the first of every month.
In his letter, Sanjay told the CM that the government employees and pensioners had played a crucial role in the Telangana statehood agitation, and that non-payment of salaries and pensions to them in time was a classic example of his inefficient rule.
He said that Telangana was formed with a Rs. 16,000-crore surplus budget in 2014, but that the Chief Minister had turned it into a debt-ridden State, resulting in a sorry state of affairs where the employees and pensioners were forced to wait for their salaries and pensions till the 15th of every month now.
He said that it was the responsibility of every government to pay its employees and pensioners on the first of every month. The Constitution had provided the right to the employees and the pensioners to get their salaries and the pensions on time under Articles 21 and 300 (A), and the TRS government was taking away these rights of the employees and the pensioners, he claimed.
He also alleged that the State government was also delaying emergency payments of employees like health bill reimbursements, surrender leave payments, GPF payments and part-final withdrawals, causing a lot of problems to them.
