The BJP leaders submitted that the local police officials were acting in a biased manner, supporting the candidate of the TRS and troubling the BJP cadre in all possible ways, which amounted to corruption. They stated that the local police officials, particularly of the ranks of Circle Inspector and below, were incessantly harassing the BJP cadre, threatening them with dire consequences including encountering them if they campaigned in favour of the BJP. The officials were also threatening the BJP cadre that if they gave any complaint against the officials' illegal acts, the officials would either kill them directly or get them killed through anti-social elements.
The BJP leaders also submitted that they had came to know from reliable sources that the ruling TRS was making efforts to mobilise cash in many illegal ways, especially through ambulances and police vehicles, for distributing to the voters to purchase votes.
The leaders said that such activity was a challenge and threat to democracy, and requested the CEO to take immediate action and deploy Central forces in the constituency to curb the "illegal" activities of the TRS and ensure free and fair elections.
