BJP Leaders Greet People On International Yoga Day

Various eminent leaders of the Telangana unit of the BJP today wished the people of the state on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy wished the people and said. "The ancient art of yoga has become popular across the globe due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, 200 countries of the world are celebrating Yoga Day. Yoga is the elixir to all ailments. I urge the people of the state to practice it daily to gain physical strength and mental agility."

Claiming that Indians were becoming victims of several diseases due to their "addiction to Western culture", he highlighted the need to embrace one's roots and reiterated the need of making the practice of yoga a part of daily life.

State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar also greeted the people on the occasion and emphasised the importance of practicing Yoga.

Speaking to the media after visiting a Covid-19 vaccination centre in division 115 of Hyderabad's Balaji Nagar, Kumar addressed the ongoing vaccination drive in the state and said, "PM Modi has taken the decision to administer the Covid vaccine free of cost to all the people of the state and the nation. No Indian citizen can forget this key decision. The Centre is focused on providing the vaccine to all without thinking of any political considerations. One crore people of the state have taken the vaccine. Now, PM Modi's decision will enable the remaining 2.68 crore, including those under 18, to get vaccinated by the end of December. I urge everyone not to believe in any kind of rumours about the vaccine and to receive the injection as soon as they can."

Kumar then targeted Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and alleged that the latter had not even bothered to urge the public to get immunised.

"KCR is playing with the lives of the people of the state with his lackadaisical attitude towards the pandemic. Further, our CM seems to lack even the most basic knowledge - he has not realised that he needs to put the photo of the PM on the free vaccination posters being put up in Telangana. KCR is an inefficient leader who has failed to utilise the facilities provided by the Centre," he claimed.
