Bandi Slams KTR For Social Media Attack On BJP

Bandi claimed that the social media wing of the TRS, which worked under KTR, was carrying fake news about the BJP leaders to hurt their morale.
Hyderabad | 23rd October 2022
BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today came down heavily on the TRS' working president K T Rama Rao, and alleged that the minister had secured an order from the court preventing the former from speaking about the minister's corruption and irregularities.

Bandi was addressing an "atmiya sammelanam" with the voters of the Munugodu Assembly constituency at the Anantula Gardens in Nagole, along with party MP Dr K Laxman, national secretary of the party Y Satya Kumar, the party's State vice-president G Manohar Reddy, former MLAs N V S S Prabhakar and Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Bandi claimed that the social media wing of the TRS, which worked under KTR, was carrying fake news about the BJP and its leaders in order to hurt the morale of the party's leaders. He urged the Munugodu voters to not believe everything that they read online, and to assess the characteristics of the contesting candidates before casting their votes.

Targeting the Congress, he alleged that the TRS was extending financial support to the Congress to carry out its election campaign, and claimed that the TPCC chief had even made a statement on the issue. He also said that it was shameful that Rahul Gandhi was holding the Bharat Jodo Yatra after inheriting the legacy of the party's leaders who had never accepted that Kashmir was a part of India. He claimed that the credit behind the revocation of Article 370 of the constitution, which made Kashmir as an integral part of the country, went to the BJP.

Commenting on news reports that he had written a letter to the Election Commission urging it to stop the sheep distribution scheme in Munugodu, Bandi swore by his wife and children that he did not write any such letter to the EC, and dared the CM to a public debate on the issue.

Bandi also came down heavily on the Left parties - the CPI and the CPM. He alleged that KCR had arranged funds for the organisation of the national conference of the CPI at Vijayawada recently, which was the reason that the CPI was supporting the TRS in the by-election. He also claimed that the reason that the CPM was supporting the TRS in the by-election was that the TRS had helped its State secretary in a murder case involving a TRS leader.
