BJP Centre, TRS MPs Cheating People: Chada Venkat Reddy
The leader today faulted both the TRS and the BJP for their lackadaisical attitude towards fulfilling of the bifurcation promises made to the state.

Telangana CPI secretary and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy today criticised both the BJP-led Centre and the TRS government for not working for the state.
"While the BJP-led Centre seems to have no memory of the bifurcation promises made to both the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana government too has whiled away its time in power by not bringing up the issue in a forceful manner. What have the two governments been doing since 2014? The MPs of the TRS and the BJP, and the Centre are equally culpable for ignoring the plight of the state," he said.
While Reddy accepted that the TRS regime had indeed made repeated pleas to the Centre regarding the fulfilment of the bifurcation promises, he faulted the MPs of the pink party for not having done so in an effective enough way.
"The BJP-led Centre has been a mute spectator watching the suffering of our state for far too long. It must take steps to support the development of Telangana at least now, and must make good on its promises to set up a rail coach factory in Kazipet, a steel factory in Bayyaram, and a tribal varsity. The Centre should also sanction the Information Technology Investment Region project at the earliest," Reddy added.
The CPI leader then asked the MPs of the Congress, the BJP and the TRS to fight for the state's causes and not among themselves.
"Fight unitedly and mount pressure on the Centre so that our state can flourish. The CPI will always support such struggles," he promised.
As the debates around employment generation and the fulfilment of promises made by political parties to the people of Telangana continue to gain prominence in the campaigns of the parties for the upcoming graduates' constituencies' MLC elections, political leaders in the state are getting more and more acerbic in their attacks on each other regarding the two issues.
