The Telangana unit of the BJP today demanded that the State government withdraw its decision to conduct the Group 1 exams in Urdu medium too.
It alleged that the State government had decided to conduct the exams in the Urdu medium too under pressure from its ally the AIMIM.
Addressing media persons today, BJP general secretary D Pradeep Kumar, spokesperson N V Subash and BJYM State president Bhanu Prakash alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to bring back the Nizam culture to the State by conducting the Group 1 exams in Urdu too.
They claimed that KCR had insulted the Indian constitution written by B R Ambedkar through the decision.
They termed Urdu as a language belonging to a religion and claimed that its usage for the Group 1 exams would cause a lot of injustice to the unemployed youth in the State, and asked the State government why it had introduced the language for the exams.
They said the BJYM would hold state-wide protests against the decision of the State government. They also said that they would submit representations to all the district Collectors on May 6, and lay siege to all collectorates on May 10.
