Bikkanur SI Sai Kumar's Body Recovered From Tank

The body of Bikkanur Sub-Inspector Sai Kumar, who went missing in Kamareddy district, was recovered today from the Adlur Yellareddy tank by the Pedda Cheruvu tank rescue teams.

Along with that of SI Kumar, the bodies of constable Shruti of the Bibipet police station and operator Nikhil of the Bibipet Co-operative Society were also found in the tank in Sadashivanagar mandal.

Kumar's cell phone was switched off at 3 pm on Wednesday, prompting the police officials to begin searching for him. His belongings were discovered on the banks of the tank, leading to a search of the area. Around midnight, the bodies of Shruti and Nikhil were recovered from the tank.

Constable Shruti left the station on Wednesday morning, informing colleagues that she was going home after completing her duties. When she did not return home by noon, her parents, who live in Gurtala, Gandhari mandal, alerted the Bibipet police.

Using her phone signal, the police traced her to the tank. A team led by DSP Sindhu Sharma rushed to the location. Around 11 pm on Wednesday, the cellphones of constable Shruti and Nikhil were found near the pond. Nikhil's footwear was also discovered nearby.
