The state government is planning to set up a branch of Girijan Cooperative Corporation in AP Bhavan in New Delhi, to promote the sales of products developed by Girijans in Andhra Pradesh.
Tribal welfare minister Pasupuleti Balaraju told media persons at the Secretariat that the government was studying various avenues for increasing the sales of Girijans' products.
Balaraju said that the products were received well by people from across the country and abroad, since they were of a high quality.
The minister revealed that he had written a letter to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday, to seek permission from the central government to set up a sales counter in AP Bhavan in New Delhi.
