The Karnataka police on Thursday took a man into custody, who has been identified as a suspect in relation to the Bangalore ATM attack case.
The unidentified suspect was taken into custody in Hindupur of Anantapur district, while he was making a call from the cell phone of an unknown person.
He is being questioned by the local police, and the process of identification is also being carried out, with the help of the footage of a CCTV camera in the ATM.
The man in custody is reportedly being suspected as the man who assaulted a 38-year-old woman, a manager of Corporation Bank, inside an ATM in Bangalore 2 days back.
The incident which took place in a busy locality of Bangalore, left the victim grievously injured, after she was stabbed with a machete.
Jyothi Uday, the victim, is presently undergoing treatment at a hospital, and has been paralyzed on the left side of her body.
The doctors also conducted plastic and brain surgeries, and have said that it will be around 6 months before she can completely recover. (INN)
