On Tuesday, the Hyderabad police arrested one Gummadi Raj Kumar, 52, a car driver living at L B Nagar in Hyderabad, for stealing the official mobile phone of union minister Bandaru Dattatreya from his residence at Ramnagar, and recovered the phone (a Samsung J7).

Police said on May 15 at 9am the offender came to the house of Dattatreya to seek a recommendation letter for a darshan at the Srisailam temple, and committed the theft of the phone which was kept for charging in the visitors' hall.
