Ban On Meetings Around Assembly

City Police Commissioner A K Khan, on Sunday, extended orders prohibiting meetings near the state Legislative Assembly.

In his order, the Commissioner prohibited all public meetings or processions "having potential to cause disturbance to public peace and safety within a radius of 2 kilometres of" the state Legislative Assembly and the Council building.

The prohibitory orders will remain effective till 25 February, till 6pm. (INN)
