Bahubali Will Come From BJP: Kishan Reddy

Wading into the Bahubali exchanges, BJP floor leader in the Telangana Assembly G Kishan Reddy today predicted that a leader within from the party would emerge as Bahubali.

Talking to mediapersons on Tuesday, Reddy said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was determined about Telangana's development, and that somebody would emerge as "Bahubali" within the party in the State to make Modi's dreams for Telangana come true.

Moving on to more serious stuff, Reddy, referring to media reports that the state cabinet was likely to give its nod for 9% reservation to Muslims, reiterated his party's stand on religion-based reservations, and said that the state government should stop playing religion-based politics.

He opined that providing reservations to Muslims in education and employment was not the correct thing to do, and said that the BJP had been fighting against religion-based reservation both in states and at the centre. He said that religion-based reservations were unconstitutional, and demanded that the government withdraw even the 4% reservation to Muslims which was implemented during the YSR regime.
