Asaduddin Owaisi Has Votes In Two Constituencies: Congress

No action was being taken to delete the name from any of the Assembly constituencies despite its complaints to the EC, the party said.
Hyderabad | 6th January 2023
TPCC senior vice-president G Niranjan today said that as per the final voters' list published by the ECI on January 5, 2023, Hyderabad MP & AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi had votes in two constituencies, against the Election Commission rules.

Speaking to mediapersons in Gandhi Bhavan, Niranjan said that Owaisi had votes in the Rajendra Nagar Assembly constituency (EPIC no. KGY0601229, part no. 401, serial no. 906) and in the Khairatabad Assembly constituency (EPIC No. TDZ1557521, part no. 25, serial no. 412).

He said that this had been brought to the notice of the DEO, Hyderabad, in a meeting on December 19, 2022, but that no action had been taken to delete the name from any of the Assembly constituencies.

"This indicates the irresponsibility of an elected Member of Parliament and also the recklessness of the election machinery in publishing a purified voters' list," Niranjan said.
