The Communist Party Of India (Marxist), on Sunday, demanded that the Central Bureau Of Investigation arrest all the ministers who had issued the controversial GOs that had helped Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy accumulate illegal wealth.
Talking to reporters after inaugurating a new party office at Sundraya Vignana Kendram in Gudivada, CPI (M) state secretary B V Raghavulu said that of the 13 accused in the disproportionate assets case, the CBI has arrested only 3.
Accusing the CBI of resorting to selective arrests, he said that such selective investigation would never reveal the complete picture of the economic offences committed by Jaganmohan Reddy.
Hailing the arrest of former Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, Raghavulu said that the CBI must arrest the 4 other ministers who were served notices by the Supreme Court for issuing 26 controversial GOs favouring Jagan's corruption.
He said that the selective arrests were leading to suspicions that the CBI's probe was partial, and that officials were facing political pressure to spare the other ministers involved in the case. (INN)
