Arrangements For World Telugu Conference In Full Swing
Delegates from the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Indonesia and other countries will be participating in the conference aimed at promoting the Telugu language and culture.

Arrangements are in full swing for the World Telugu Conference to be held at Tirupati from December 27- 29.
Addressing a press conference at Kala Bhavan here on Saturday, Secretary (Culture) G Balaramaiah said that the delegates from the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Indonesia and other countries would be participating in the prestigious conference aimed at promoting the Telugu language and culture. So far, nearly 200 delegates have confirmed their participation. Among other issues, the conference would hold deliberations on imparting a Telugu education.
Balaramaiah said that the conference would be held at a venue spread across 99 acres and the state government would be spending Rs. 25 crores for the same. He informed that an exhibition on Telugu culture would also be organised on the occasion wherein exhibitions from Delhi and London Museums would be on display.
AP Cultural Council chairman Ramana Murthy, Advisor to Government (Culture) KV Ramana Chary and Director (Culture) Kavita Prasad were also present. (INN)
