MP Kavitha Turns Telugu Teacher At Telugu Conference
The MP took the participants of an event at the World Telugu Conference by surprise by lucidly explaining the works of noted Telugu poets and literary exponents.
Nizamabad MP K Kavitha today turned a teacher at a literary program of the World Telugu Conference organized at Ravindra Bharathi.
Like her father Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Kavitha took the participants by surprise by lucidly explaining the history of literature and poetry, and the works of noted poets and literary exponents.
She also said that she had published several books on them, as she wanted the significance of their works to be passed down to the future generations in Telangana.
In her talk of 30 minutes, Kavitha gave a presentation on the grand history of Telugu literature, and on the contributions made by stalwarts and prominent poets. She also said that the writing of poetry and literature started in Telangana even before legendary poet Nannayya's period, and exhorted the gathering to go deeper into Telugu literature.
She also said that the language was spreading further now after a long gap. To develop it even more, the Telangana government had made Telugu compulsory from classes I to XII, she said. She added that Telangana Jagruthi would publish the works of Telangana poets and distribute them to the 450 foreign delegates who had come to attend the event.
Those present at the auditorium appeared visibly impressed by the MP's presentation.
