Arjuna awardees, Asian Games 2023 medallists and some other sportspersons called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat today.
The CM took the time to meet each sportsperson and discuss about their accomplishments and future tournaments.
Reddy also felicitated the award and medal winners with shawls, and presented bouquets to them in recognition of their achievements.
He also instructed the concerned officials to compile a comprehensive list of the issues and challenges being faced by each sportsperson.
The CM emphasised the need to devise effective solutions, considering avenues such as financial assistance, job opportunities and any other support that aligned with the eligibility criteria, to foster the development of sports in Telangana.
The sportspersons, in turn, proudly showcased their medals and awards, and expressed their happiness and gratitude to the Chief Minister for his support and encouragement.
The sportspersons who met the CM included Husamuddin (boxing), Esha Singh (shooting), Nikhat Zareen (boxing), Kynan Chenai Darius (shooting), Agasara Nandini (athletics), N Sikki Reddy (badminton), Gayatri Gopichand (badminton) and Jeevanji Deepthi (para athlete).
