KCR For KVP, Acharya To Be Sacked

The TRS chief reiterated that his party would not tolerate if even one inch of land in Telangana was usurped by corrupt politicians and businesses.
Hyderabad | 19th August 2010
Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday demanded that the Government Advisor and Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao be sacked over allegations of his involvement in the APIIC-Emaar deal.

Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, KCR also demanded action against all officials who are accused of being involved in the illegal allotment of land through the deal between the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and Emaar Properties.

KCR also asked for Industries and Commerce Principal Secretary B P Acharya be removed from the probe panel as he was appointed on the behest of K V P Ramachandra Rao.

The TRS chief urged the government to hand over the lands in survey number 4 to 49 under Emaar Properties, to the concerned landowners immediately.

He said that the Emaar Properties scam had came to light during the tenure of Telugu Desam Party. Alleging that lands worth thousands of crores of rupees have changed hands in the deal, KCR said the TRS would fight for the poor who lost their lands in the scam.

He urged for the Chief Minister's intervention to solve the issue, and sought justice for the erstwhile landowners who had lost out in the deal.

The TRS chief reiterated that his party would not tolerate if even one inch of land in Telangana was usurped by corrupt politicians and businesses.

He vowed that the TRS would intensify its fight until the government does justice and restores the lands to the poor.

The TRS leader said he would produce details of alleged irregularities that took place in Special Economic Zones to the media soon.

KCR also alleged that norms have been violated in Bayyaram mines by the lessees.

He said that the government's decision to grant permission for open cast mining at Manuguru mandal would affect 5 agency villages in the Telangana region. He urged the government to order probe into the open cast mining issue.
