It was business as usual at the Parkwood International School on Monday, apart from a little commotion.
The commotion was the result of the school management stopping the District Education Officer to enter inside the premises, and also parents protesting against the shocking
events which occurred recently.
The DEO turned up at the school gates to for inspection into its affairs, after one of the directors was arrested for sexually molesting a Class XI student and impregnating her.
Present Principal Ayesha Tanvir is believed to have informed the DEO that the school management has already submitted a reply to the education department's show-cause notice.
She also informed the DEO that the tainted principal has been removed not only from his post but also from the Board Of Directors.
The first day of school saw angry parents demanding to know of the safety of their wards. The school management had its hands full trying to convince them that the shocking incident would not be repeated.
The beleaguered management seems to have succeeded in convincing some parents, since they expressed their quandary whether to continue allowing their wards to remain in the same school or look for an alternative.
Principal Ayesha Tanveer said that she would meet chief minister K Rosaiah and enlighten him on the rape case and the steps the school management has taken to prevent any recurrence.
