AP Woman Employee Leaves For Vijayawada On Bicycle

In a bid to encourage fellow colleagues to leave Hyderabad and join duties at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, a woman employee of the Commercial Taxes department chose a novel idea to reach Vijayawada from Hyderabad - riding a bicycle.

After the allotment of government employees to Andhra Pradesh under the AP Re-organization Act, and goaded aggressively by Chandrababu Naidu, the employees of the Cooperative, Commercial and Information departments left Hyderabad on Thursday to join duties at Vijayawada. And Padma, an official of the Commercial Taxes department, left Hyderabad by road using a bicycle to reach Vijayawada.

Andhra Pradesh Employees Association leaders Ashok Babu and Krishnaiah appreciated Padma's idea. Later Ashok Babu flaged off CTO Padma's bicycle journey.
