The Andhra Pradesh High Court judges, advocates and staff finally started moving out today, and the advocates of Telangana bid warm adieu to their Andhra counterparts.
There was plenty of bonhomie on display as old friends who worked together for several years hugged each other said their goodbyes.
The authorities pressed ten buses into service to transport the files and other documents belonging to the AP HC. AP Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Puneta issued orders to CRDA to arrange the requisite furniture at the temporary High Court building. He also asked the IT department to arrange enough computers for the court. The protocol director of the state was asked to provide accommodation to all the HC judges at Novotel hotel.
The Chief Justice of Telangana Justice Radhakrishnan will be sworn in at Raj Bhavan at 8:30 am on Tuesday, and the newly-appointed Chief Justice of the AP High Court Justice Praveen Kumar will be sworn in at 11:30 am in Vijayawada at Indira Gandhi stadium.
Meanwhile, some advocates from the Rayalaseema region protested in front of the High Court building demanding the immediate cancellation of the Presidential Order dividing the combined High Court.
