Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M Kodandaram, on Saturday, alleged that the state government is trying to suppress the voice of Telangana.
Speaking to reporters today, after a delegation of TPJAC leaders called on Telangana ministers at Ministers' Quarters here, Kondandaram said that the TPJAC has been denied permission to conduct Mulki Martyrs' event in Medak district.
He said it was strange that people from Telangana were not being allowed to hold an event in their own region. He said that while the Congress High Command has been expressing its support for Telangana, its government in the state is suppressing the statehood activities.
Kondandaram accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of resorting to unconstitutional means to suppress the Telangana movement and its leaders. He said that it would be the responsibility of Telangana ministers to get permission for the proposed Peace Rally on September 7. (INN)
