The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday arrested the Sub-Inspector of Police and Home Guard of the Tekmal Police Station in Medak district, for demanding and accepting a bribe.
According to the ACB, the accused SI, G Pradeep Kumar, and Home Guard L Gopal Naik, were caught red-handed when they demanded and accepted Rs. 10,000 as bribe, from the complainant, to arrest the accused and to give him bail in Cr. No. 81/2012 of Tekmal Police Station.
The bribe amount of Rs. 10,000 was recovered from Gopal Naik.
Both the accused have been arrested and produced before the Ist Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases at Hyderabad. (INN)
