AP CM Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today asked officials to provide a financial assistance of Rs 2,000 to the state's fishermen stuck in Gujarat, after their return.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today asked the officials of the state to provide a financial assistance of Rs 2,000 to the state's fishermen stuck in Gujarat, after their return to the state.
The officials told the CM that a total of 4,055 fishermen were on their way to the state.
They also told the CM that the state government was bearing the transportation and lodging charges of bringing the fishermen back.
Meanwhile the CM also reviewed the current status of Covid-19 in the state. The officials told the CM that 73 new cases of the virus had been reported in the state during the last 24 hours.
They also told the CM that of the 29 positive cases reported from Guntur, 27 were reported just from Narasaraopeta town.
They added that they had set up containment zones in the town to contain the spread of the virus.
